Brownfields in
Pennsylvania are addressed under the Land Recycling and
Environmental Remediation Standards Act of 1995 regulations (also
known as Act 2) under 25 Pa Code, Chapter 250. Investigation of the
impacted media and areas of concern at a “Brownfield” site is
documented in a Remedial Investigation. A Remedial Investigation in
Pennsylvania is essentially the same as a Site Characterization, only
the investigatory work is conducted under the Act 2 regulations. The
Phoenix staff is proficient in the technical and administrative Act 2
process in Pennsylvania.
