The Industrial Sites
Recovery Act (ISRA) (NJAC 7:26B), New Jersey’s equivalent of
Brownfields, is intended to identify contaminated “industrial
establishments” prior to the sale, trasfer or closure of a site. An
industrial establishment is subject to ISRA if it meets certain
criteria such as: NAICS (SIC) code; operating dates; and, hazardous
materials or wates that are generated,
manufactured, refined, transported, treated, stored, handled, or
disposed on the site.
